The Newberg Downtown Coalition invites children of all ages to come to downtown Newberg on Halloween, Thursday, Oct. 31, from 5 to 7 p.m. for safe trick or treating, photo opportunities, a haunted house, and a Food Court.
Bring your carved pumpkins for the Jack'o'Lantern display the night before.
Continuing a long-time downtown tradition, downtown businesses will provide candy for costumed trick or treaters in the safest environment imaginable. Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras for photo opportunities at Francis Square with giant pumpkins, decorative gourds and corn stalks. The will also be Free popcorn.
The Food Pod on the corner of First and Center Streets will be open during the event, it has 5 mobile food carts.
Boy Scout Troop 265 will operate a haunted house at the Scout House in nearby Memorial Park from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The Newberg Kiwanis will provide crossing guards at major downtown crosswalks.
